What the group does

Kopano holds the businesses, the intellectual property and the contracts. The operating companies run their own teams, clients and product roadmaps, and the group sets strategy, handles governance and decides where capital goes next.

The thread running through all four is the same audience. South African women who run small and medium businesses, and the institutions that want to reach, train or sell to them. That audience is difficult to reach through general marketing channels, and we have spent ten years building direct access to it.

The group has been registered and trading since March 2015 and is wholly women owned.

The businesses

Four businesses, one audience

Each business earns its own revenue and serves a different part of the same market, so a woman can find us through a free workshop, stay through the membership, and later hire the agency. Corporate clients enter at the agency and reach the community through it.

Club She Is

Agency and membership

A marketing agency and learning platform for women in business. The agency side builds sales funnels, runs media buying and manages campaigns for corporate and institutional clients. The membership side gives women access to more than 200 hours of training in funnel building, advertising, content and financial management, alongside a private community.

  • 14 000 women reached across 51 countries
  • 6 237 women on the learning platform in twelve months
  • Clients include GIBS and HerVenture

Ghutte

Software platform

A white-labelled sales and marketing platform built for women-owned service businesses. Ghutte gives small operators the customer database, booking system, automated follow-up and payment tools that larger companies take for granted, at a price a one woman business can carry.

  • Onboarding and support handled in house

Mar-Tech Academy

Skills programme

A twelve month workplace readiness programme that trains young people as digital sales and marketing technology specialists. Participants move through foundational training, team projects, pro bono work with community businesses and placement alongside established entrepreneurs. The programme is designed for corporate and development funding and reports on completion, placement and business impact.

  • Designed for 110 participants per intake
  • Aligned to SDGs 4, 8, 9 and 10
  • Seeking funding partners

Kopano Publishing
